Book Quote: On Paris at Night by Laura Florand

I’ve only read two of Laura Florand’s book, the first one I read was Chocolate Temptation…which made me fall in love with her writing. This was one of my favorite lines describing Paris, at night, which is one of my favorite time to view a city (I have a fascination with night views and twinkling lights).

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books On My TBR For The Next Two Months

Base Photo by Daniel Nanescu

It’s Top Ten Tuesday again, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic is Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR. Malaysia doesn’t really have a fall season, in fact it literally has 2 seasons – Summer (which is literally 80% of the year) and Monsoon Season 😀 Perhaps I should add a new one which is HAZE season which is what we’ve been having this past month! 😦 I really do miss fall, in fact it is one of my favorite season out of the four, pumpkin and cinnamon spice season!!! My second would have to be winter…despite living in eternal summer, my favorite seasons are all cold temperature seasons.

Alright enough with the weathers and seasons…lets get on with the listings!

Book Review: Dark Wild Night (#3 Wild Seasons) by Christina Lauren

BR-CL-DWN

Christina Lauren‘s third book in the Wild Seasons series, Dark Wild Night. This is probably my favorite of the three original couple which went to Vegas: Lola + Oliver = Loliver 🙂 I have no idea who the guy I used in the graphic I designed for this post is, but if I had to imagine Oliver, he probably looks a lot like the guy above, only with blue eyes (but this is as close as it gets, lol). This book was a really quick read for me, I completed it a lot quicker than I expected.

Book Review: Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

BR-LT-DSB

I’m still tweaking my way of reviewing books, so do bear with me as I try out different formats. I’ve just finished reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor…it took me awhile but it wasn’t due to lack of interest, it was more I couldn’t find the time. Finally, last night I pushed myself past my bedtime and kept reading till 3am, and was completely blown away despite the cliffhanger ending!

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Want To Reread

Base Photo by Daniel Nanescu

It’s TUESDAY AGAIN!!!! Another week as come and gone!

This week’s TTT is actually a freebie, which means we’re allowed to do any topic of our choice; so I decided to do a previous theme which I did not get the chance to blog on since I’ve only recently participated in TTT this month 😀 I actually looked through their list of previously done topics and this one jumped up at me. There are always those books which you’ve read and it lingers with you even after it has ended. To reread a book is like revisiting old friends, old familiar friends…

So here it is, my list of Top Ten Books I Want To Reread (actually I think a good number of them are series) Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Want To Reread”

Book Quote: On Prague by Laini Taylor

Lately, I’ve developed a habit of highlighting my favorite phrases, paragraphs, even conversations in books I’ve been reading. This is something I would never do on a physical copy, but I find when I’m reading on my Kindle or iPad, I don’t feel so guilty highlighting my digital copies 😛

I’ve amassed quite a bit of highlighted goodies, and I thought why not share some of my favorite bits which the authors had carefully crafted for our enjoyment! In fact, perhaps some of the quotes might even spur you in trying out some of the authors or books you’ve not read or explored?

For my first book quote I’m gonna pick one from the book I’m currently reading – Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor.

Meme Tag: Best Books I’ve Read In 2015 (so far…)

Chachic from Chachic’s Book Nook tagged me to do this a while back on Instagram (I think it was back in July), but I never got around to it. I just recalled it as I was thinking of what my blog post should be for today, so I decided to do my response here instead 😉

Not all the books listed here were published this year, but they were read this year. Also since, it’s only September, there is still a few more months before 2015 ends hence I will only list the best I’ve read so far.  Continue reading “Meme Tag: Best Books I’ve Read In 2015 (so far…)”
