Looking Back: On February

LB-FEB2016.pngToday is a special day, one that comes along once every 4 years! It’s the 29th of February! In a blink of an eye February has come and gone. This month has been quite eventful for me, I’d take a trip to Tokyo (yay!), it was the Lunar New Year so lots of family gathering, and I celebrated a cousin’s birthday along with the last day of the lunar new year. I’ve also managed to do quite a bit of blogging… Continue reading “Looking Back: On February”

5Fave Book Covers: Some of My Favorite Book Covers

I really love book covers…sometimes I pick up a book just because of the gorgeous cover design 😀 While I love them, I realize I don’t keep a record or a list, since I have a blog now, why not record them while I share them with others who enjoy pretty and unique book covers like I do 😀 So for this post I decided to share 5 of my favorite cover designs. Book Review: When the Duke was Wicked by Lorraine Heath

I had renewed my interest in Historical after a long break from it, this probably due to having posted my previous TTT regarding, “Historical/Futuristic settings we would like to read more of”. If you’re curious about my picks you can read my post here 😀 I don’t remember how I came across this book, or why I picked it up to begin with…but I saw it and made an impulsive buy on my Kindle, I didn’t not bother reading up on any reviews and just dove into it without a clue about what I was getting myself into! So lets get to my review shall we 😀  Continue reading “Book Review: When the Duke was Wicked by Lorraine Heath”

I’ve always loved the Book Looks feature by Reg from SheLatitude’s, and always wanted to put something like this together for a book look. Since it puts two of my interests together in one page, books + fashion 😀 When I saw the cover for David Kudler’s Risuko, I decided that this was the time to create a book look, since I really like cover design and the color scheme. I’m not as good as Reg at this, but hopefully I’ll get better with time. I’m not sure if I will make this a permanent feature yet, but it would be a fun project 😉  Continue reading “Book Look: Inspired by Risuko – David Kudler”
